(Here's a few things you could think about instead of thinking about your ailment. You could think about kangaroos, you could think about all different kinds and sizes and shapes of (???), you could think about really shiny and gaudy doorknobs. Um, you could think about how cars passing by sometimes sound like famous musicians. You could visualize rain hitting the ground and just listen to that in your head.
